We are looking for multiple Dev Ops Engineers to join our team in NSW to contribute to the delivery of customer centric IAG products and services. 

The purpose of your role as Dev Ops Engineer within IAG and your unique contribution is to uplift software delivery practices across IAG.We know that Agile, Continuous Delivery, Cloud, infrastructure, and application automation is key to delivery lean and rapid innovation and will deliver value to our colleagues and customers. 

You will be concentrating on the full lifecycle of the delivery patterns, pipelines and environments which lead to efficient and effective software delivery including their design, development, support, maintenance and measurement.

Role responsibilities

Depending on role level your responsibilities may include some or all of the following:

• Infrastructure, Continuous Deployment and Continuous Integration Automation Development and Support
  • Discover, automate, support and monitor IT processes including deployment, infrastructure build (cloud) with an eye to flexibility, best practices, high performance and continuous improvement - championing new improvements, experimentation, products and tools.
• DevOps Culture, Evangilism
  • Contibute to uplifting the culture, tools and techniqies in  Devops, automation. This includes showcases, mentoring, research, hackathon participation, Guild participation, training. working with others to enable the overall platform strategy.

Role experience and capabilities

Depending on role level the experience and capabilities we look for may include some or all of the following:

• Experience leading/contributing to a DevOps practice
• Understanding of the CI/CD Pipeline
• Ability to lead/contribute to the design, build and development of software delivery automation principles, patterns and guidelines that enable software delivery teams
• Technical experience relevant to your role e.g. a solid sysadmin/ops, automation and monitoring (instrumentation) background 
• Unix / linux, AWS, Jenkins
• Docker, CI/CD tools, vmware, apache, load balancing
• Atlassian suite – Jira, Bamboo, Stash, Git etc
• Splunk, (B)ELK Stack, SumoLog
• Scripting preferably with Java and Python
• Hands on system administration and automation experience.
• Ability to demonstrate learning, research, and collaboration. 
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, engineering, computer science or equivalent
