The Role

As a Senior UX Designer, this role will provide you with the opportunity to be both strategic and hands on, contributing to the successful delivery of projects within our Innovation team at IAG.

The position will play a key role in projects across the design practice both bringing to life innovative products and experiences and supporting the ongoing evolution of our existing digital user experiences.

You will be working with a team of designers in collaboration with business, channel and product experts across all IAG’s brands.

 

We currently have multiple 12-month Fixed Term Opportunities based in Sydney.  

 

In this role you will

  • Use customer insights to drive and guide the development of new offerings, anticipate customer needs to build original hypotheses that offer to exceed customer expectations.
  • Use human-centred and evidence-based design methodologies and tools to create, anticipate and deliver customer and business value through human experiences.   
  • Ensure coherent product experience across the Customers’ journey
  • Ideate and create conceptual wireframes, user flows, IA
  • Plan, construct and conduct lean experiments, design sprints and customer validation
  • Refine concepts and create prototypes, low to high fidelity designs
  • Work within complex stakeholder environments and strongly collaborate with small cross functional design and delivery teams

 

Skills & Experience

  • 5 years of professional work experience as a Senior UX Designer, and competency in Service Design & Research
  • Ability to apply evidence gathered from qualitative/quantitative research and other sources to inform, support or make decisions
  • Proficiency in a range of UX design skills (Research, IA, Interaction Design, prototyping, usability)
  • Ability to create content that is relevant and useful (including drafting of macro/micro copy)
  • Competency in designing for accessibility & inclusion
  • Competency in in visual and UI design
  • Familiar with web technology frameworks such as HTML5/ CSS3, JavaScript, React, mobile
  • Has a growth mindset, a strong desire to learn and can be resilient in a fast moving environment
  • Is a storyteller, translating and communicating ideas and recommendations in way that articulates the value, relevance and impact of using design
