As Executive Manager, Pricing and Customer Communication Platforms you will play a lead role in the transformation of IAG’s core insurance platforms, critical to enabling our target state customer journeys. You will establish full-lifecycle product ownership practices, drive modernisation of underlying platforms and  ensure delivery of resilient, secure, stable core insurance services..   
Successful candidate for this role should demonstrate a broad understanding of IAG’s business, a strategic approach to technology delivery, operations and risk management, outstanding people leadership and coaching skills, and be accountable for delivering business critical technology projects to scope, quality, budget and time targets.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Utilise specialist expertise and strong business acumen to ensure stable and resilient platform services and the delivery of strategic and transformational change, with a specific focus on the Pricing and Customer Communication platforms that underpin  Policy and Claims services across the Australian and New Zealand businesses  
  • Develop and drive operational excellence for IAG’s platforms in line with IAG requirements and in response to external changes 
  • Develop and implement technology strategies and plans that deliver innovative, market leading, growth driving, insurance offerings 
  • Apply strategic mitigation of risk and create an effective risk management environment through strategic risk planning 
  • Plan, manage and optimise Insurance Platforms (including  partner) expenditure, within expected tolerances and make decisions on competing priorities for resources and funding
  • Strengthen people leadership capability and people engagement within Insurance Platforms.
  • Represent Insurance Platforms and Technology to groups outside of Technology and IAG 

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience & knowledge in leading enterprise-wide technology change and operations within complex corporate environments 
  • People leadership experience; managing large multi-location teams
  • Prior experience with simplifying & establishing technology platforms (including cloud-based platforms)
  • Proven technology program delivery experience 
  • Strong business acumen & risk management in large, complex organisations
  • Passion for technology & agile ways of working
  • Knowledge & experience with managing & implementing core insurance platforms would be highly desirable
