A fantastic opportunity to join nbn, Australia’s largest infrastructure project, as the Capability and Learning (C&L) Partner reporting to the GM Capability and Learning, where you will play an important role in the journey in identifying, prioritising and buying/building critical capabilities that are essential for nbn to continue to achieve its business goals.

A bit about your role

In your new role as the Capability and Learning Partner, you will ensure that nbn has the right workforce capabilities in the right place at the right time to continue to operate effectively as we transition from an organisation focussed on building a network to a customer-led service organisation lifting the digital capability of all Australians.

In your new role as the Capability and Learning Partner you will:

  • Actively contribute to the strategic direction, focus and planning for the C&L team and remain abreast of and curious about  trends and best practice in the learning industry.
  • Build strategic partnerships across a business portfolio, assess critical capability gaps aligned to strategic priorities, develop and implement a Capability Plan
  • Play an active role in the nbn 2022 Strategic Workforce Plan initiative to future proof our workforce for the future..
  • Engage and work with the broader C&L Team and People & Culture teams to ensure the timely and effective implementation of workforce capability initiatives and programs
  • Contribute to the planning and management of the C&L budget
  • Respond to requests for team workshops by scoping, building, and co-facilitating as required
  • Lead, coach and develop a small team.

A bit about you
To be successful in this role, you will have a thorough understanding of adult learning principles and blended learning approaches with a strong curiosity for learning technologies.

An effective Capability and Learning Partner will have superior skills in consulting at senior organisation levels and the ability to think at both strategic and operational levels. You will effectively manage multiple stakeholders and their conflicting priorities with the influencing skills to make data driven decisions that may potentially challenge the status quo.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong senior leadership skills and the ability to work within a cross -functional team in a complex and matrixed organisation.

Critical to successful in this role will be to drive a "future ways of learning" strategy that includes delivering tangible impactful, leader-led development and learner accountability, underpinned by a strong digital learning focus.
