The Role 

You will join Poncho, a connected but separate division in IAG. It is an end-to-end business with a mission to disrupt the industry and be an accelerator for the wider IAG business. As part of a small, fast-paced team you will help to launch new products using the latest insurtech approaches and technologies, including the emerging PrevenTech field. We are data-driven & collaborative, take calculated risks, and are obsessed with our customers and continually improving how we work.

As our UI / UX Designer you will join a close, lean team that can quickly test new ideas with our customers and share learnings with the rest of the business. You love working with data and you are obsessed with user experience. You are someone who can envision the future and are not afraid to challenge the norm. You will be responsible for conducting user research, brainstorming, sketching, prototyping and collaborating with our Senior UX designer and engineers to ship great products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and share design and UX prototypes
  • Work on the development of concepts and solutions that improve the user experience, the product, and the platform
  • Identify improvements to our customer experience
  • Build and implement customer journeys using design assets that offer a consistent user experience across desktop, tablet and mobile.
  • Review and QA initiatives and features to ensure build matches design. 
  • Contribute towards the continual improvement of the quality and speed of delivery

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working in UX or design roles in a digital start-up environment
  • A strong communicator – can speak the language of engineering, data, design, operations and can coordinate cross-functionally with each to achieve big wins.
  • You are a designer that is constantly inspired—motivating those around you through your passion and drive for what you do.
  • You are excited by regularly coming up with new ideas, shipping new products and features that address your users’ real needs.
  • You shine through your designs—creating user flows and wireframes that simplify user interactions
  • You are eager to visually communicate your ideas through prototypes to test with users.
  • You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced workplace; partnering with other designers, engineers, product developers and other disciplines throughout the company.
  • You are a problem solver that’s excited by a challenge. You enjoy sitting in a room and whiteboarding ideas to confidently come up with simple, elegant solutions that everyone can move forward with
  • You are an empathetic user advocate that values the backing of research and data analysis when it comes to designing modern solutions 
  • Experience maintaining and extending a design system using tools like Figma or Sketch
