The Grand Pacific Group (GPG), is a portfolio of heritage listed and contemprary venues in stellar locations across Sydney including Sergeants Mess, QVB Tea Rooms, The Palace, Gunners Barracks, Dunbar House Watson's Bay and The Blue Room. The Grand Pacific Group has a high level of experience within the hospitality industry and are looking for a positive, honest, genuine, team-focused person. They are looking for a strong HR Generalist who is able to provide support across the organisation and to the Founder and Director of the business through a phase of growth and rebuilding new opportunities post COVID. You will work on centralised plans for the GPG as well as support the venues across the Group.

Key Responsibilities for this role will include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting learning and development throughout the Group
  • Working with senior management team in assessing business risks and rolling out relevant programs to build operational capability
  • Develop and lead the approach to succession planning incorporating planning for employee development
  • Operational HR – supporting BAU functions from an HR perspective, including policy updates, performance management support and coordination of performance reviews
  • Driving programs and initiatives to support continual improvements to company culture and values 
  • Coordination of internal staff development and engagement initiatives
  • Leading the Group with a strategic approach to recruitment and accessing best talent in marketing
  • Building capability and compliance within the industy

The role requires a strong communicator who enjoys working autonomously as well as crossing into all sections of the operations and business structure.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong stakeholder management and the ability to be agile in thinking and approach given a rapidly changing industry landscape is very key.
