You will join Poncho, a connected but separate division in IAG. It is an end-to-end business with a mission to disrupt the industry and be an accelerator for the wider IAG business. As part of a small, fast-paced team you will help to launch new products using the latest insurtech approaches and technologies, including the emerging PrevenTech field. We are data-driven & collaborative, take calculated risks, and are obsessed with our customers and continually improving how we work.

As a Senior Automation Testing Developer, you will improve the quality and speed of our software development. You will be responsible for planning, designing, building and maintaining automated test scripts. You will liaise with project management, technology and development teams to develop and support the automation, testing, and CI/CD frameworks that underpin our push for rapid delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse, determine, and implement the best approach for automated testing and release
  • Identify process improvements, and contribute to testing standards and definition of best practice
  • Help to design and improve our CI / CD Framework
  • Identify and promote the introduction and use of new techniques, methodologies and tools
  • Contribute towards the continual improvement of the quality and speed of delivery


Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in leading releases as part of a technology delivery process within a commercial enterprise
  • Extensive experience with software development and testing within an Agile / Lean development environment
  • Proven experience in automation testing within highly integrated environments.
  • Experience in teams managing commercial digital products or supporting systems (websites, mobile applications, CRM, CMS, Ecommerce)
  • Experience utilising tools such as Jira, Zephyr and Confluence for test planning, execution and defect management in an integrated environment.
  • Experience in testing of REST Services / SOAP web services and web applications.
  • Experience with Bitbucket, Selenium, Postman, and Amazon Web Services Experience working within a complex, dynamic and changing technical environment with a variety of systems, applications and interfaces
  • Working experience of Agile / Lean development practices
  • Experience in a startup environment and Lean startup methods
