Sales Director

Social Soup are seeking an exceptional Sales Director to join the team, FT or PT.


Overall Objective:                   

Key senior position responsible for creating new partnership opportunities, sourcing new business and building key senior client relationships through detailed, thorough strategic planning. Client lead through execution of campaigns. Develops, drives and collaborates on business goals and objectives.


Business Development

·       Qualification of high value partnership prospects – pro-actively lead the process from discovery, initial conversations, through pitching and closing.

·       Confident in presenting credentials to a varied audience (large, small, formal, informal), via zoom or in person, and able to tailor pitches to different client needs.

·       Contribute to the ongoing development of motivating credentials and communications to key clients.

·       Ongoing, pro-active identification of new or existing business opportunities through building a solid base of networks and contacts within a set of key categories.

·       Able to pro-actively collaborate with your Social Soup colleagues to develop extraordinary ideas to deliver results based campaigns.

·       Able to write strategic, professional, clear and concise proposals that win business.

·       Able to work from rate cards and guiding documents to develop desirable investment options – for Social Soup and our clients.

·       Able to confidently read a room and pivot – what the client may require and what Social Soup can offer to answer their challenge or need.

·       Be aware of Social Soup’s competitors and know how to sell Social Soup in a conversation against our competitors.

·       Proficient and detailed in using sales tools (Salesforce), maintaining leads, contacts and deals accurately and ongoing. Complete all relevant paperwork for tracking and finance.

·       Work closely with Leadership Team on new product development – testing in market


Management of potential clients and key relationship development

·         Key lead on high performing clients - expected to develop strong relationships and grow business through pro-active identification of opportunities, strategic pitches and exemplary client service.

·         As part of building relationships expected to become an expert on your clients’ business and industry.

·         Identification and growth of ‘up and coming’ clients, to grow them into key, high performing clients.

·         Responsible for developing strategic, detailed client plans for key and ‘up and coming’ accounts and presenting these plans to Leadership Team.

·         Bring ideas and detailed plans to the weekly Commercial Huddle.


Campaign Strategy and Execution

·         Be the key client lead during campaign execution, managing issues at a high level and delivering fantastic client service.

·         Be the lead in a cross functional team approach to pitching for new and growing existing business.

·       You will contribute to the business at a high level, how to better run a successful business to deliver sustainable revenue, exceptional culture and effective operations.

·       As part of your role you will be expected to provide leadership to junior staff in the business.

·       Lead by example by living the Company Values.
