What you’ll do
Due to an internal secondment, a 12 month opportunity has arisen. Reporting to the General Manager, People and Culture, this role is responsible for supporting an operational business unit of circa 200. This position will partner with key stakeholders on all HR operations needs, provide expert HR & ER advice from strategy to execution, solve people and business problems and develop initiatives that contribute to organisational performance.
  
In addition, you’ll

  • Provide strategic and operational support to business leaders in making good people decisions across the employee life cycle
  • Support the implementation of the HR strategy and uplift projects
  • Analyse data, business issues, needs & risks, and translate into commercial solutions with business leaders
  • Provide expert workplace relations advice to internal stakeholders, and manage related processes from strategy to execution
  • Coach and develop front line management capability, and drive accountability for people decisions
  • Collate and prepare HR metrics and reporting activities, as well as administering changes to employment terms and conditions
  • Support the delivery of the annual HR functional milestones including performance management process, employee reward process for salaried and non-salaried employees, employee engagement survey, budget and workforce planning cycle, code of conduct, talent and succession planning
  • Champion employee engagement and assist with the deployment of relevant programs and initiatives that build effective leadership capability, enhancing the organisation’s culture and working experience of our employees

  • Part time or full time, 12 month contract with possibility to extend contract

What you’ll bring  

  • Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in Human Resources, Business, psychology, employment law or related
  • Previous experience working in a similar Business Partner role and ability to complete activities autonomously
  • Ability to manage multiple complex ER matters from strategy to execution and a sound working knowledge of process, employment law and best practices
  • Must be able to manage the end-to-end HR operational & strategic requirements of the business units
  • Must be customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to coach and influence others to produce results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to formulate multiple recommendations for solution and collaborate with clients to tailor a fit for purpose solution
